Bishopswood House Terms of Business
1.0 Contract.
The Contract for the short term rental shall be made between the client and Woodfield Developments Ltd. The Contract will be entered into when confirmed in writing by Woodfield Developments Ltd and will be subject to all the following conditions.
2.0 Payment.
i)A non refundable deposit of 1/3 of the rental fee is payable at the time of booking. The balance is payable two months before the commencement of the rental. For bookings made less than two months before the commencement of the rental the total fee is payable when booking.
ii) A refundable housekeeping Bond of £300 is payable two months before commencement of the rental. The Housekeeping Bond will be refunded at the end of the rental less any damages and/or extra cleaning costs incurred during your stay. Please make cheques payable to Woodfield Developments Ltd.
3.0 Cancellation.
i) Cancellations made by the client must be in writing and addressed to Mrs J Freeman at the address on the bottom of this form.
ii) For cancellations made less than 2 months before the event the full amount of the rental will be payable.
iii) For cancellations made between 2 and 4 months before the event 50% of the rental will be payable.
iv) For cancellations made before 4 months before the event the deposit will be retained.
4.0 Number of persons using the property.
The number of persons occupying the property overnight must not exceed 27 unless specifically agreed in the contract.
5.0 Care of the property.
The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its contents inside and outside the property and leave them in the same state of repair and in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.
6.0 Breakages and damages.
The client is legally bound to reimburse for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs which will be taken from the Housekeeping Bond. If the damage is more than the Housekeeping Bond then the client will be liable for the extra cost.
7.0 Children.
Guests must accept responsibility for their children’s safety.
8.0 Pets.
It is regretted that pets cannot be accepted.
9.0 Bar & Entertainment
i) The corkage option is available during the wedding breakfast only. After the wedding breakfast has finished no more bottles should be un-corked. Please make sure your guests are aware of this. If not adhered to we reserve the right to close the bar.
ii) The bar will open when the wedding breakfast is finished. Last orders will be taken at 11.45pm, and the bar will close at 12 midnight. Earlier opening is available if required at an extra cost.
iii) Music must be finished by 12 midnight.
10.0 Unreasonable behaviour.
If in the opinion of the owner any person is not suitable to continue their occupation of the property because of unreasonable behaviour, damage or nuisance to other parties the contract may be discharged and the owner may repossess the property immediately. The client will remain liable for the whole cost of the hire and no refund shall be due.
11.0 Liability.
Woodfield Developments Ltd does not accept liability or responsibility to any person for any personal injury loss or damage to property or vehicles however sustained or caused nor for the loss of theft of property and/or money and does not accept third party liability in respect of breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise.
12.0 Complaints.
Any complaints should be promptly notified to allow remedial action to be taken. Failure by the client to notify complaints before departure will entitle the owner to refuse to entertain the complaint, irrespective of its merits.
13.0 Right of entry.
A representative of Woodfield Developments shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection to carry out necessary repairs or maintenance.
14.0 Confetti
Natural confetti is allowed but if metallic confetti is used a charge will be made for cleaning it away.
15.0 Arrival and Vacation
Rooms will be available for check in 1 hour before the Ceremony. If attending an event other than a wedding check in time will be agreed prior to the event. All guests, other than those staying overnight, must vacate the venue by 12.30am.
16.0 Suppliers set up
The House is available from 9am on the day of the wedding to enable suppliers to set up. The house may be available on the day prior to the wedding for an extra charge.
17.0 Health and Safety
Any outside contractors (e.g. entertainment, fireworks) employed by the client must comply with all legislation including Health and Safety and Fire Precautions Act and WFD must be informed of all such contractors and equipment.
The client will indemnify Woodfield Developments against any claim made against them resulting from any act of default by their contractor or equipment.
18.0 Photography
We reserve the right to use any photography for advertising purposes unless otherwise advised.
